Leys Farm Junior School

October 2027

We began visiting Leys Farm Junior School in 2015 and have made bi-annual visits ever since. We always receive a warm welcome form the staff and pupils which is much appreciated. The staff are supportive of our delivery, and the children engage really well which helps to build upon their knowledge and keep them safe.

Staff feedback

“Clear, consistent messages. Safety was highlighted throughout the session and references made to transitions/secondary school. Scientific language revisited effectively.”

S. Thomas, Headteacher

“Really clear, scientific, step by step teaching. The children did really well to listen and take on board everything. Thank you so much!”

P. Gray, Teacher, Year 4

“Lots of opportunities for children to talk and give their opinions, strong appropriate messages, safe environment and space to talk. Very knowledgeable staff made the children feel comfortable to open up.“

Mrs McDonald, TA, Year 5

“The delivery included important aspects of keeping safe e.g. county lines. Body science to encourage children to use scientific vocabulary for body parts. The session was very good it involved all the pupils and was delivered coherently.”

A. Chowhury, Teacher, Year 6

Key Fact:
