Yarborough Academy

June 2018

Visiting Yarborough Academy for the first time, our team received a warm welcome with 20 parents and carers attending our parents meeting along with all teaching staff. Parent confidence in talking to their children about keeping safe rising by 24% and staff confidence by 54%!

Parents’ feedback

“I’m really please the children will be receiving these lessons. It is very helpful for parents to know in advance what the children will be learning.” Rebecca Freeman, Parent.

Teachers’ feedback

“Good delivery of information at the correct level for the pupils. Very Informative! The questions phase was particularly good due to the excellent subject knowledge of the BigTalk team.” Mr Jacklin, Year 6 Teacher.

” Amazing and so relaxed! The talk overcame so many ‘taboos’ and engaged the pupils so much. I now feel confident to speak to both girls and boys, using the same terminology across our school. Thank you.” Mr Ives, Year 5 Teacher.
